I'm an international showjumper who began my career at an early age. At just 5 years old, I took over the family pony and straight away I was hooked. After trying my hand at most equestrian disciplines, I decided to focus solely on showjumping and, at the age of 13, I was given a good 148cm pony to ride.

At the age of 16 I got my first horse, Clydecruiser, and the following year I jumped double clear in the Junior Nations Cup trials at Wales and West – a great achievement when I only had the side of a hill and two jumps to practise with!

The following year came, and the decision was made to concentrate on horses as a future and career path. I went to work for Stuart Harvey, where I learnt about producing young horses to the highest level. Stuart taught me a lot about what to look for in a young horse and still helps in looking for young horses, and I still receive training from him on a regular basis.

After a brief stint in Switzerland, I moved to Holland to work for the Dutch breeder Egbert Schep. Riding 12 horses a day and taking nine horses to shows each week quickly taught me a lot about horses and riding in the ring.

After moving back to England, I spent some time working at IN Showjumpers near London. Here, I got a little taste for the international shows.

Then, I met Heather Larson and the decision was made to start our own stable. For the first six months, we based ourselves in Surrey with Stuart, whom Heather was training with at the time, until things were more established. After the spring tour in Oliva Nova (Spain) we moved back to Hill House Farm in Somerset, where things have gone from strength to strength and we can now boast a yard full of promising talented horses.

In 2019, we broke through onto the Nations Cup scene following some good results at the Sunshine Tour with our horse Imagine de Muze (Coco) , a black mare who Heather bought when she was a seven-year-old. She is a really easy horse to handle and takes everything in her stride. She will jump in any ring in the world and travel anywhere with zero stress – mindset we can all aspire too!
