Senior Performance Lifestyle Practitioner

The UK Sports Institute and British Equestrian are looking for a Senior Performance Lifestyle practitioner to help develop and support athletes towards Paris 2024 and throughout the next Olympic and Paralympic cycle to the LA Games in 2028.

The opportunity is to work as part of British Equestrian’s Human Performance Support team and the UKSI’s Performance Lifestyle team, delivering to athletes on the Olympic and Paralympic world class programme.

World class Performance pathways coordinator (Maternity Leave cover)

A full time role to cover maternity leave, this role provides coordination and administrative support to the World Class Programme Head of Performance Pathways (HOPP) to deliver the Sport England and UK Sport outcomes through the World Class Podium Potential Pathway programme (WCP3) and England Talent Pathway (ETP).

  • To liaise with the Olympic Disciplines (ODs), the WCP3 Discipline Coaches (DCs) and Pathway Managers (PWM) on behalf of the HOPP as required to co-ordinate training days for 11 Pathway Programmes within the UK Sport/Sport England portfolio of funding.
  • To liaise with the key stake holders and other organisations on behalf of the HOPP as required.
  • To support and promote the ETP and WCP within the BEF.
  • To provide further administrative support to the WCP and BEF activity when required.

This role will include out of hours working as well as travel within the UK. Independent Judicial Panel Chair

British Equestrian is seeking applications from senior legal professionals and sports subject matter
experts to act as the Chair of our Judicial Panel. This role will lead and oversee the activities of the
Judicial Panel, ensuring a robust and independent approach to all cases handled through British
Equestrian’s Hearing Body processes.

The purpose of the role is to:

• Lead and represent the BEF Hearing Body in official matters.
• Manage the caseload of the BEF Hearing Body and assign (or reassign) cases to Hearing Body
members, according to their specific needs, such as subject matter expertise.
• Assist with the coordination of an annual conference for Panel Members.
• Monitor the performance and conduct of the BEF Hearing Body members and a BEF Stewards, investigate (or assist in the investigation of) complaints made against them.

Qualifications

• Due to the senior nature of this role, current or former members of the judiciary, KCs, junior 
barristers or solicitors of at least 10 years’ experience, would be welcomed.
• A qualified lawyer with significant professional legal experience in litigation or arbitration
and in governance, integrity, sports related disputes, selection appeals, anti-doping,
safeguarding, anti-discrimination, para classification, or such other relevant areas in sport.

Outreach Officer (Initial 1 year contract)

Reporting to the Lead Community and Outreach Officer the Outreach Officer will:

  • Support the delivery of outreach projects including the organising of opportunities to engage with communities and the administration of education packs
  • Work with the Lead Community and Outreach Officer to develop the outreach plan
  • Support the growth and development of The Pony Club’s outreach provision, working towards agreed regional targets for outreach activities
  • Support the building of a network of engaged community groups, schools and partners through keeping a database up to date and aiding with research
  • Support the work within the EDI Action Plan by logging and contributing to actions and investing time learning about ED &I.
  • Support the Lead Community and Outreach Officer with project administration including responding to emails and producing meeting agendas and minutes

Reporting to the Centre Operations Officer the Riding Centres assistant will:

  • Process linked riding Centre reviews
  • Process linked riding centre bulk and overseas memberships
  • Managing stock and supply of Centre marketing materials
  • Update membership database as per centre co-ordinators requests

Business Change Programme Manager

The BHS are looking for a suitably experienced Programme and Project Manager, who has been actively involved with the delivery of successful programmes of change within multi-faceted organisations. This is in order to manage the delivery and roll-out of a new brand proposition to internal and external stakeholders. This piece of work will include cultural and organisational transformation for employees, volunteers and the wider stakeholder group of assessors, inspectors and our other external partners.

Here’s some more information about the role:

The successful candidate will work alongside a change management specialist, as well as the brand team supplying the programme, and will manage a brand stakeholder plan, ensuring the right people are involved, dependencies are managed, teams are engaged with, and resources aligned appropriately to tasks and activities. They will ensure that planning for critical timelines is accurate and resilient in the face of change or adversity. Programme and project governance, including budget management, resource management, reporting on progress to relevant groups and delivering both internal and external launches are core requirements. The ability to produce results capable of achieving the benefits defined in business cases to agreed quality and timescales is a given.

SharePoint Specialist

The SharePoint Specialist will be an integral part of the Technology Team, maintaining and developing the internal Hub to keep pace with the BHS digital transformation.

The BHS are building an internal hub to share information and news with staff and are looking for a Specialist to join the team.  You will be working closly with our with the technology team and the rest of the organisation to design and implement the solution.

Key skills needed for this role:

  • Building, developing and maintaining a M365 SharePoint
  • Experience with developing other M365 technologies including Teams, Yammer and Viva to deliver a solution
  • Has demonstrably worked cooperatively across an organisation to deliver a similar solution
  • Knowledge of good practice for SharePoint configuration
  • Has combined waterfall and agile/iterative/incremental approaches within delivery
  • Experience providing support and guidance to end users

Fixed Term 1 year Contract  - 35 hours per week
