This form reports an equine welfare concern to British Equestrian. An equine welfare concern could involve an allegation of abuse of a horse, or being worried that a horse is at risk of harm or may have been harmed.
We are only able to accept reports from individuals over the age of 18, and who have witnessed or experienced the concern first-hand.
Your concern will be sent directly to the British Equestrian Integrity Team. Please provide your contact details if you are able to, so that we can obtain further information if necessary.
Your concern will be treated in confidence and, whilst we have a duty to refer certain matters to the police, we will always try to do so with your consent. British Equestrian will use the personal information that you provide in accordance with our privacy policy (which may be updated from time to time).
Raising equine welfare concerns can be very difficult. If you would like advice and support before contacting British Equestrian you can also contact World Horse Welfare or the British Horse Society.
If your concern relates to a specific sporting discipline, we recommend that you speak to the relevant National Governing Body. If you have any problems completing this form or are unsure of whether to report something, you can contact us at report@bef.co.uk
In an emergency please call 999 without delay.
