British Equestrian Dressage and Jumping Squads announced for CHIO Aachen

The following riders and horses have been selected to represent Great Britain in the FEI Nations Cup Teams at the World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen in Germany, 24 June – 03 July.


Lara Butler from Cirencester, Gloucestershire with Laura Tomlinson and Ursula Bechtolsheimer’s Kristjan (dark bay gelding, 2005, Polarion x Napoleon Quatre, OLDBG).

Charlotte Fry based in Den Hout, the Netherlands (from Scarborough, North Yorkshire) with Van Olst Horses’ Everdale (black stallion, 2009, Lord Leatherdale x Negro, KWPN).

Susan Pape based in Hemmoor, Germany, with her own and Harmony Amateur Sports Foundation's Harmony’s Eclectisch (black stallion, 2009, Zenon x Olivi, KWPN)

Laura Tomlinson from Cirencester, Gloucestershire with her own and Ursula Bechtolsheimer’s Fallatijn (chestnut gelding, 2010, Vivaldi x Cabochon, KWPN).

Lewis Carrier from Downham Market, Norfolk with his own Diego V (bay gelding, 2008, Spielberg, KWPN).

The Grand Prix for the Nations Cup takes place on Thursday 30 June at 08:30 (BST) with Saturday (2 July) hosting the Special from 16.45. The Freestyle brings the dressage action to an end on Sunday, 3 July, at 09.00. The Chef d’Equipe for the team will be Caroline Griffith.

Scott Brash from Horsham in West Sussex with Lady Kirkham and Lady Harris’ Hello Jefferson (bay gelding, 2009, Cooper van Heffinck x Erle, BWP)

Harry Charles from Alton, Hampshire with Ann Thompson’s Romeo 88 (bay stallion, 2009, Contact van de Heffinck x Orlando, ZANG) or Stal Zet’s Casquo Blue (bay gelding, 2012, Chacco-Blue x Carthago Z, OS)

Ben Maher from Bishop Stortford in Hertfordshire with Oakingham Stud’s Faltic HB (bay stallion, 2012, Baltic VDL x Concorde, KWPN)

Jessica Mendoza from Horsham in West Sussex with her own Play (chestnut gelding, 2012, Luidam x Eljenohve, SWB)

John Whitaker from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire with his own and wife Clare Whitaker’s Equine America Unick Du Francport (bay gelding, 2008, Zandor Z x Heliois de la Cour II, SBSF)

The Nations Cup competition takes place on Thursday 30 June at 18:30 (BST) and the Grand Prix will be on Sunday 3 July at 13:00 (BST). The Chef d’Equipe for the team will be Di Lampard.
