D&H announced as sponsors of two major British Dressage championships

Monday, 12 January 2026

British Dressage is delighted to announce a new, multi-year collaboration with premium horse feed brand D&H, who will support both the Associated Championships and the Intermediate I class at the National Championships from 2026 onwards.

British Dressage is delighted to welcome D&H as a sponsor, partnering with one of the UK’s most established and trusted names in equine nutrition. With more than 80 years of experience in producing premium horse feed, D&H shares British Dressage’s commitment to placing the horse at the heart of everything it does.

The wellbeing, health and long-term performance of the horse underpin every aspect of the D&H approach, which is to deliver excellence in nutrition for happy, healthy horses. From research and formulation to manufacture, D&H products are designed to support horses across all disciplines and levels, ensuring they receive the nutrition they need to thrive, both in and out of competition. This horse-first philosophy has made D&H a trusted partner to owners and riders, as well as events, governing bodies and national programmes.

Owned by HJ Lea Oakes since 2020, D&H combines modern nutritional expertise with centuries of British milling heritage. The Lea family has milled oats since 1675, and today D&H products are manufactured in the UK at a dedicated horse feed mill operating under the BETA NOPS Scheme, supported by an independent testing laboratory to guarantee the highest standards of quality and consistency.

British Dressage is proud to work alongside a brand that not only supports elite sport but also champions the health and wellbeing of horses at every level.  Competitors will enjoy the support of D&H at two major events from 2026, with a three-year commitment to supporting the Associated Championships and the Intermediate I class at the National Championships.

The National Intermediate I Championship is a highlight of the summer season, with qualification from Regional Championships and Premier League shows. The class provides top quality action as professionals and competitive amateurs alike make this an annual aim as they rise through the levels. Horses such as Jagerbomb, Imhotep and Swanmore Dantina have been amongst those on the podium in recent years, with the class proving its impressive influence on future Grand Prix stars.

The Associated Championships are a celebration of the vast variety and talent within the sport, showcasing horses and ponies of all breeds, shapes and sizes, as well as celebrating riders at different levels too. The Associated Championships attracted over 1,400 combinations last year, with titles awarded across ten categories.

D&H Head of Marketing & Communications Isla Boxall-Loomes said: “With horses firmly at the heart of both British Dressage and D&H, we couldn’t be more delighted to be collaborating with the sport at such an exciting and inspiring time. It was important to us to find a way to support British Dressage competitors and horses across the levels and our title sponsorship of both the Associated Championships and the National Intermediate I Championship allows us to do just that. Correct nutrition is key to ensuring that the individual needs of horses are met and we are looking forward to getting to know and supporting lots of horses over the coming months.”

British Dressage CEO Jason Brautigam commented: “We are genuinely thrilled to welcome D&H to our valued family of BD sponsors and looking forward to working with Linda, Isla and their team. D&H’s unwavering commitment to equine health, care and wellbeing aligns perfectly with our values, and together we can celebrate the harmonious partnership between horse and rider. From the inclusive diversity on display at our grassroots Associated Championships to the high-performance standards of excellence at Inter I, this exciting relationship will allow us to support and champion happy, healthy horses at all levels of the sport, ensuring they thrive both in and out of competition.”
