On 23 March, British Equestrian will partner with Agria for the fourth running of our annual Equine Health Week campaign. The week-long initiative, which will feature educational content from leading veterinary surgeons, our trusted partners and other relevant experts, showcases both organisations’ dedication to promoting the highest standards of equine welfare at all levels of the equestrian industry.
Equine Health Week is aimed at everyone who interacts with horses – from people who ride occasionally at a centre, to those who have their own horses or are responsible for the running of a yard. Under the banner of ‘equine health essentials’, a packed seven-day programme will cover the following topics:
Those following with the campaign can look forward to podcast episodes, explainer videos, social media infographics and signposting to useful resources. All content shared across the week will be collated in an online hub on the British Equestrian website, where it will be a lasting resource for the future.
“Looking after the health and wellbeing of our horses is part of the privilege of horse ownership,” said British Equestrian’s Chief Executive, Jim Eyre.
“Whatever role you play in our industry, we all have a duty to our equine partners to give them the best chance of a life free from pain and suffering, with their essential needs at the forefront of decision-making. Our continued aim with Equine Health Week is to gather the knowledge of renowned experts and share it with our community, so that they feel more confident in identifying and responding to a wide range of health conditions and wellbeing challenges.”
“Agria’s entire business is centred around supporting the health of the animals who bring so much to our lives, so naturally we are delighted to work with our British Equestrian partners on Equine Health Week.” commented Vicki Wentworth, CEO of Agria UK.
“Knowledge is power when it comes to doing the best we can for our horses, and, with this in mind, Agria has always worked with the best brains in animal health and behaviour. We very much look forward to sharing some of their insights over the coming week for the benefit of owners and horses everywhere."
