Jumping team for the CSIO5* FEI Nations Cup in Rome (ITA)

The following jumping team has been selected to represent Great Britain at the CSIO5* FEI Nations Cup in Rome (ITA). The competition takes place between the 25 - 28 May 2023 at the Piazza de Siena, Rome.

  • Ben Maher MBE, from Hertfordshire, with the 10-year-old bay mare Dallas Vegas Batilly, jointly owned by Charlotte Rossetter and Pamela Wright.
  • John Whitaker, from Huddersfield, with the 15-year-old bay gelding Equine America Unick du Francport, jointly owned by John and Clare Whitaker.
  • Jodie Hall McAteer, from Hertfordshire, with the 14-year-old chestnut gelding Salt’n Peppa, owned by Mandy Hall.
  • Matthew Sampson, from Sheffield, with the 14-year-old grey mare Ebolensky, jointly owned by Rachael Evison and Matthew Sampson.
  • Tim Gredley, from Suffolk, with either the 11-year-old bay gelding Medoc de Toxandria or the 10-year-old black gelding Imperial HB, both owned by Unex Competition Yards Ltd.

This Nations Cup competition takes place on Friday, 26 May at 14:30 hrs local time (13:30 BST), while the Grand Prix will be on Sunday, 28 May at 12:30 hrs local time (11:30 BST). The Chef d’Équipe for the team will be Di Lampard.

The GBR showjumping teams are supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage.
