MEMBERS: Britain’s young jumping guns finish in Europe’s top eight

Sunday, 12 September 2021

The short time between Tokyo and this year’s LONGINES FEI Jumping Championships gave Performance Manager Di Lampard the chance to build towards the future by giving some exciting young combinations a first British Senior call-up. Held at Surenberg, just outside the small town of Riesenbeck in the Munster region, the show was set in a world-class facility masterminded by Constantin Freiherr Heereman and four-time Olympic medallist Ludger Beerbaum. The organising team worked wonders to bring a real championship feel to the week, aided by over 3,000 spectators being allowed each day to watch the action – it was amazing to hear the cheer of a crowd once again and it certainly added to the atmosphere.
