Badminton Horse Trials, presented by Mars Equestrian, is the pinnacle of the eventing calendar – being here is a dream come true for those lucky enough to lead their horses through the hallowed archway into the stable yard. While the riders and horses are front and centre, there’s also an army of grooms and support personnel behind the scenes, working hard to make sure that those they look after are able to perform at their best. We caught up with Tilly Hughes and Francesca Gorni, grooms to Laura Collett and Tom McEwen respectively, after the dressage phase to find out a bit more about their Badminton experience and reflect on last summer’s Olympic Games.
