Tom was part of the Young Rider team who brought home a sixth successive European team gold in 2010, followed by a seventh in 2011. 

He has been riding Toledo De Kerser since 2013, and finished second with him at the CCI2* Young Horse Championships in Le Lion. They went on to win the CCI5* in Pau in 2019, their first at the level. 

They were nominated for the Rio Olympics, but made their senior team debut as part of the team travelling out to Tryon for the World Equestrian Games in 2018, where they helped secure team gold. 

Tom then took to the Olympic Games in 2020 with Toledo de Kerser, winning team gold and individual silver. The team achieved a record-breaking low score of 86.3, with all three of riders and their horses being Olympic debutantes. Following his success at the Olympics, Tom has been recognised for his achivements after being awarded an MBE for his services to the sport of eventing.
