Oliver Fletcher

Rider Profile

Name:
Oliver Fletcher
Location:
Faringdon, Oxon

Oliver comes from a family of top-level equestrians, with both his parents – Graham and Tina Fletcher – representing their country on the world stage. He was riding before he could walk, and moved onto horses at quite a young age. At the age of 12, Oliver was competing in 128cm, 138cm, 148cm and horse classes. From that age, he’s also been on every Europeans team and has won a total of five medals.

Most of Oliver’s life is riding, but he’s also a football fan and plays once a week as an opportunity to get away from the yard. He also does quite a lot of running.

Hello William is Oliver’s best horse at the moment, and Oliver claims he’s ‘the best horse I’ve ever ridden and probably will ever ride’. He has high hopes for him, both this year and in the future, and thinks he’s a very special talent.

Oliver dreams of following in his parents footsteps and representing his country at the highest level. The massive aim is to ride at the Olympics but, before that, Oliver is aiming to ride on Senior Nations Cup teams and compete at some five-star shows.
